Monster | Michael Grant

After the thrilling Gone series, I was excited for this book. I shouldn't have been. It was very disappointing, as it removed all the original characters, except for Dekka, which was most shocking. What also made it worse was that instead of having powers like in the originals, the affected people morph into beasts, and have a really weird storyline. The characters are bland, the story is confusing and it didn't really appeal to me. The cast is mainly adults so it doesn't have the same vibe. However, on the plus side, the other original characters should be in his next book: Villain
