This book really makes Jenny Nimmo look bad. After the brilliant Charlie Bone series, I never expected Jenny Nimmo to write one of the worst books I have ever read. The story is about a weird old man who grows a man-eating plant. This book is so short, bizarre and just is not a fun or enjoyable book to read.

This is a heart-warming, lovely childrens adaption of the bestseller A Street Cat Called Bob. This story is brilliant, how Bob improves James Bowen's life, and is reminiscent of Alfie, Oliver, and Charlie- but unlike those stories, this one is true. After going to London, James became homeless, and took drugs, a while after he stopped taking drugs, a ginger tabby swept into his life. The cat was injured so he took it in and adopted it, and gradually 'Bob' helped James back on his feet. Bob is an amazing, loyal cat- he is very patient, and can do high fives! The Fork, The Witch and the Worm | Christopher Paolini

This is a good book. Although throughout this review I am of the opinion that it is inferior to the rest of Christopher Paolini's books, but if you remove 'the Inheritance Cycle label', you get a pretty solid book. This was an unusual return to the Inheritance Cycle that I thought was a bit dissatisfactory, and although enjoyable, it didn't give me the same enjoyment I got from reading the previous books. This may be to do with the fact that it was more of a spin-off than an entry to the series. Interestingly enough, the book is basically three short stories with a lot of filler in between. This stars Eragon after the events of the inheritance cycle, and frankly, I prefered these minor part to the stories. The stories aren't bad, but they don't fit the series, and are more of their own thing. The only thing I can really liken them to are the Warrior Cats novella bind-ups. The Hunger Games Trilogy | Suzanne Collins

These are incredible books that really blew  me away. In a dystopian future, Katniss Everdeen, is living a normal life at district twelve, when she is forced to participate in the Hunger Games, a battle to the death. These books are so great because of the brilliant concept, characters, and storyline, and though Mockingjay has some bad points, as it is entirely different to the other two, the good far outweighs the bad. You really want to know what happens next in the story, and you really want it to keep going forever. Suzanne Collins really knows  how  to write a novel.
